Their Wednesday rice isn't open. Patel suggested we come here.
Chose Tomyam as it was a safe bet, some prices got stickered with higher prices, such as Pattaya.
From what I've heard yesterday they were planning to scram after lunch. Seems like my gut feeling was right.
The bois & another are having Tomorrow rice. I want to discover all the options they have.
So this time, I manage to snag utensils, at the cost of waiting quite a while for my food compared to mates.
(they cleaned the utensils faster than cooking another breast)
Peeked into how they serve rice, it seemed to be 1 nice bowlful, then add on half a bowl.
Food coma? It seems fine for me portion wise.
Tutorial, club stuff, free 12 hour old food which I discarded, a cake to partially stop the hunger.
Scramed with the reason called "replacement class", came here as it is the closest to CLC.
Class dismissed early due to quiz (help), bawang isn't open. Want to try others, but scared not worth.
I'd like to try something new. Somehow 24 Nov 2023 me wanted to try it.
This dish officially isn't on the menu, but the waiter seemed to understand it.
Manned up and asked for extra rice, this may be a mistake looking at the portion.
Dapur seems to not have any shawarma, so I decided to test here as I missed the boys dinner time.
Bujang 7, Biasa 8. The difference I was told is (lack of) chicken.
High seats make the meal taste a little off.
They're eating Wednesday rice (fitting). I wanted to eat what I wanted yesterday.
Woke at 7ish, slept back, woke at 9:4Xam. Decided to tough it out until lunch.
Swore I overheard McD, turns out they came here.
9 pieces, and 4 remains when I finished the rice. Pork supremacy though, but price...
"Discussion based" MORE LIKE KBAT
As I got voluntarily kidnapped, Dapo has almost 0 food available, had to go back to the OG.
The curse of popular stalls: lack of utensils. Had to survive with plastic ones I got from another stall before they restocked the metal.
A GDC meet is coming up at 6, but I'm not hungry yet.
A small talk with Gemini later and I got suggested this, along with a small shawarma as a runner up.
Not wanting to have bawang again, Izz isn't open, didn't want to venture back to Tandoori.
Since you exist today, let's give you a chance.
I want to try something new. This is... not like Hinz.
Got told it was "very ok", migth as well give it a try.
There seems to be lots of food deliver orders.
It took 31 minutes. All my mates finished their food. Even the made to order ones.
Boys are having Yesterdays Rice. I can't lie it's healthy, but 9... unless I order meat elsewhere?
Anyways, back to you. Let's strike 1 more off the menu.
Food around KL could be expensive. Surely Wisma Cosway has less crowds as well (it's usually empty).
Scrolled around for cheap food yesterday and stumbled upon you. The uncle that can fight Roger.
It's been a while since I had ya. No one escaped inflation it seems.
Exacting revenge in my home turf, I'm sure the spice levels got mixed up.
Let's go cheaper option.
Wanted to prove I wouldn't be having roti kahwin. This did not go well.
Straight up gave me white rice + fried chicken at first. "Didn't I order A.P.C"??
Back & forths later with them slowly adding more items to my plate, this is the final outcome.
Weirdly Dapur is closed. Not like I was intending to go to you, where else can I find cheap food?
Bois went to countdown while ditching lecture + tutorial. I decided to "finish" tutorial then go back home early, to prevent super jam.
I overestimated the jam. Walked around a little, came here as it is the safest bet from home.
Afterthoughts, Jan 1:
December didn't arrive to be kind — it arrived to be endured, a closing chapter (for the year) that refused to slow down.
Meals became markers of time rather than rest: eaten between deadlines, long walks, and late nights of code.
Some were comforting, most were functional — fuel to keep moving when stopping wasn't an option.
Inflation crept in quietly; stalls slipped in quality, portions fluctuated, and even food felt like it demanded negotiation.
FYP pressure never truly left, even during supposed breaks.
Across all subjects, new requirements kept stacking, leaving little room to breathe.
Random groupmates performed decent enough to keep panic at bay — a small mercy in my opinion, thanks past me for choosing the right ones.
Outside of work, things with my mates felt a little turbulent lately — subtle shifts in tone, distance I couldn't fully place.
Still, I managed to meet some people during the picture day, despite the blazing weather and 19,619 steps. It was nice.
Retired at the IT Society also, but still part of the GDC. Pressure builds as the chance to be director for some events presents itself to me.
Yet, despite all the strain — nothing collapsed. At least, not me... yet.
This month wasn't about enjoyment or balance — it was about not falling apart while everything pressed in at once.
2025 ends not with relief, but with momentum. Momentum to keep going.
I'm tired — uncertain about what lies ahead — but still standing.
And that, somehow, is enough. For future me.
